Services of Worship
There is variety in the forms of worship offered at St James.
In the photograph alongside you see me being watched in somewhat bemused bewilderment by Goliath of Gath as I preach at one of our Family Services attended by all the uniformed organisations (Parade!)
Our pattern of worship is set by the time of day and the particular Sunday in the month, though the number and type of services to which this normally gives rise has had to be limited somewhat during the current interregnum. (This, thanks be to God, will end in September — see Who's Who?)
In the outline that follows, BCP = Book of Common Prayer and ASB = Alternative Service Book, Rite A.
First Sunday in the Month
- 8.00 am BCP Holy Communion (Suspended during interregnum)
- 10.15 am ASB Parish Communion
- 6.30 pm Informal Worship, Service of the Word, etc (Suspended during interregnum)
